In June 2009, Cosmo Films acquired GBC Commercial Print Finishing, a division of ACCO Brands Corporation, to become the global leader in the thermal lamination film segment. It enabled the company to establish a strong foothold in the major global markets. Since inception, Cosmo Films has maintained market leadership in both the domestic and export market.
In 2008, the company was awarded the “Top Exporter Award” by Dun & Bradstreet under the “large Indian exporters” category. In addition, the firm has won several awards for innovation from PFFCA, Asia Star and others. In a survey conducted by Forbes in 2003, Cosmo Films was recognized as one of the best 200 companies out of 19,000 listed companies with revenue of less than US$1 billion outside the United States.
The company has received ISO 9000 certification and has been accredited by the American Institute of Baking (AIB) and British Retail Consortium (BRC) Certification for Safety and Hygiene of food-related products. Cosmo Films’ customer-centric approach and sustained focus on providing best quality products and services has helped the company earn global recognition. In addition to a continued focus on product and process innovation, emphasis is also placed on innovation of organization practices. This is reflected in the company’s sustained relationships with leading FMCG brands worldwide and continuous efforts to support them in adding value to their products via innovative packaging solutions.
